Parent Leadership Groups

Parent Teacher Organization

The PTO provides the school with volunteers, fundraising, program support, and social events design to create community.  They meet once a month to do short and long range planning for school events.  They work on enrichment programs, artist in residence, field trip support, and organizing volunteers.

School Advisory Committee

The SAC meets once a month with the principal and twice a year with the school district to act as a sounding board for school and district concerns.  They advise the principal on parent opinion on a variety of matters and communicate parent concerns.  They sometimes brainstorm possible solutions to problems.

School Council

School Councils are charged with developing plans to improve the school’s instructional program and professional growth of the staff.  The Forest Hills School Council is a collaborative decision making committee, which is selected by the end of September each year to serve two-year terms according to School Board Policy.
