Talented and Gifted

The Forest Hills Talented and Gifted program is embedded in our classroom program.  Based on the practice of “Continuous Progress”, all students are continually assessed for their achievement.  Course work is modified to meet the academic needs of our children.  Our TAG coordinator, Dana Smith, works with teachers to ensure the appropriate level of challenge and academic activity.  She also works with the classroom teacher to develop individual and group projects that meet the needs of our TAG population.  Sometimes these are taught in isolation but more often they are taught in conjunction with the classroom experience.  Our goal is to keep students moving along according to their abilities while at the same time not lose touch with their classmates.
