ABOUT FOREST HILLS

The purpose of this section is to give parents, staff, and community important information about the school, its staff, and programs.  The reader will be able to locate important information that will help them and their child be successful at school.  The section will also include ways for parents to be supportive of the school and its programs.  Opportunities for volunteering and other kinds of involvement will be listed and explained.  Reading this section will give you a good idea of what we are all about.  We will also give you information about school programs, test scores, configurations, staff, and a host of other subjects.  We hope that this information will enhance you and your child’s experience at Forest Hills.

 

Welcome from the Principal: A message from the principal.

Introduction to the Staff: Forest Hills has an exceptional staff mixing both the wisdom of experience and the enthusiasm of youth.  As you get to know these individuals, you will see the heart of the school.

Directions: Forest Hills is located at 1133 Andrews Rd, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97034.  Ten blocks from down town Lake Oswego and six blocks from the city library.  The school is in the heart of the Forest Hills neighborhood.

Parent Leadership Groups: There are three parent groups that form the heart of parent support of the school.  The Parent, Teacher Organization (PTO) provides support for the program through volunteers, activities, and fundraising.  The School Advisory Committee (SAC) meets with the principal on a monthly basis to discuss issues and act as a sounding board for the community.  School Council (Site Committee) meets monthly to discuss school improvement efforts and school goals.
